After 3 flights (9hrs, 8.5hrs and 1hr), 3 airport stopovers (4hrs, 4hrs,3 hrs), 1 bus trip (1hr) and total travel time of a little over 30hrs we arrived safe ,sound and very happy (if a little tired) at St Judes.

There are 17 in the “team” – a mixture of students from Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Northern Qld and NSW (who had to travel an extra few hrs before even getting to Brisbane).

All the flights were fine (if a little long) – with no ticketing or customs dramas at all, food was good, stopovers in Bangkok and Nairobi were OK, but most of us did not manage to get very much sleep at all – so were pretty happy to arrive in Tanzania…

We were greeted at Killi International airport by a loud and exuberant group of St Jude’s students and staff and enthusiastically welcomed to Tanzania…

Still getting to know the everyone obviously but they seem like an awesome group, enthusiastic, motivated and VERY excited about the trip ahead…

Here are a few early picks from the first day or so…
