We were very privileged to be able to attend the graduation ceremony for this years primary students.  Most of these students have been to St Judes for 7 years and this is a VERY big deal for them, as they need to receive a certain level of grades to be able to go on to…

I never really thought this through… but in retrospect, I should not have been surprised…. St Jude’s policy is effectively to only offer positions to the smartest of the smart of the poorest of the poor…. So even though I wasn’t expecting anything fancy.. the homes I visited today with Lachlan’s and Jordan’s sponsored kids…

Part of today’s interaction with sponsored kids involved a “play” session, where sponsors got some quality one on one “play” time with their sponsored child as well as some group activities. This was hilarious and created some amazing bonds (including an energetic and very exuberant session of “Duck Duck Goose”).      

After an awesome night’s sleep and a great breakfast (Pancakes, Omelette & Fruit) the much refreshed group had an “official” (but certainly not formal) presentation session with St Judes – where on behalf of the rest, Lilly (who with Bruce had raised over $7,000 between them) got to hand over nearly $70,000 in fund raised……
