Preah Khan was the centre of a substantial community, with almost 100,000 officials and servants. The temple is flat in design, with a basic plan of successive rectangular galleries around a Buddhist sanctuary.

Like the nearby Ta Prohm, Preah Khan has been left largely unrestored, with numerous trees and other vegetation growing among the ruins.

The treat we had in store at this temple was a wiry and very agile  78 year old nun, with a wicked sense of humour.  Over the years, Nathan had managed to foster a relationship with this particular nun and she was very happy to sit for a photo shoot and provide a blessing.
