Oudong (also known as as Udong or Odong) is located  about 40 km northwest of the Cambodian capital – Phnom Penh. The temples (which are visible from miles around) are located on the top of a mountain.  When we visited the tiling around these temples was undergoing restoration … and being replaced by lovely white (and cool to walk on) marble tiles.  Apparently, the previous tiles were dark and tended to get very hot on bare feet in the midday sun.

At the foot of the mountain is Sontte Wan Budhist Meditation center – probably one of the biggest, most impressive, and best maintained Buddhist monastery/temples in Cambodia.
